Joshua Brown is incredibly excited to represent Ontario DECA as Events Coordinator for the 2022-2023 year. Josh is a grade 11 student at Ancaster High School and has been a part of DECA since grade 9. DECA has helped Josh find a family of mentors and other students who motivate him to achieve his largest goals. Josh’s ultimate objective is to help DECA competitors make life-changing connections while building confidence through learning opportunities.

Aside from DECA, Josh is a competitive rower with Leander Boat Club where he competes in various regattas throughout the year and practices each morning to hone his skills. As Chief Operations Officer of the FCSS-FESC, Josh seeks to empower the Canadian student population with educational programs related to mental health and social justice. Joshua is passionate about student advocacy, and is also the Founder and Executive Director of the Mindful Youth Network of Ontario, an organization committed to supporting students with anxiety. This year, Josh also volunteered with Around the Bay to organize a road race fundraiser for local hospitals. In his spare time, Josh can be found reading, at the gym, watching The Office, or biking around the city with friends.
