Joshua Brown is incredibly excited to represent Ontario DECA as Events Coordinator for the 2022-2023 year. Josh is a grade 11 student at Bishop Tonnos Catholic Secondary School and has been a member of his school’s DECA chapter since grade 9. In his grade 10 year, Josh served as Secretary of his school chapter and will be serving as Executive Vice President in the upcoming year. DECA has helped Josh to build a family of mentors and other students who motivate him to achieve his biggest goals. Josh’s ultimate objective is to help DECA competitors to make life-changing connections while obtaining confidence through learning experiences.
Aside from DECA, Josh is a competitive rower with Leander Boat Club and the Bishop Tonnos Titans Rowing Team, where he competes in various regattas throughout the year and practices each morning to shape up his skills. With his school’s Prefect Council, Josh organizes events to familiarize grade nine students with the school, tutors various grade levels in all subjects, and provides mentorship services to help newcomers thrive in their school environment. Josh is also an active member of his school’s HOSA chapter, where he engages in health care events and competitions. As an employee of Booster Juice, Josh loves helping to improve customer’s days with delicious beverages. This year, Josh also volunteered with Around the Bay to organize a road race fundraiser for local hospitals. In his spare time, Josh can be found reading, at the gym, watching The Office, or biking around the city with friends.
Josh hopes to make year 44 fantastic and looks forward to connecting with members across Ontario! Josh loves meeting new people, so if you wish to share ideas, ask questions, or simply chat, Josh encourages you to reach out on Instagram, or email email@example.com.
