Sanjit Narasimhan is a Grade 12 student at Barrie North Collegiate and he is honoured to serve as the 2026-2027 Ontario DECA president. As a passionate DECA member since Grade 9, Sanjit has competed at Provincials in each of his first three years and has represented Ontario at ICDC twice in written events, earning finalist recognition. Inspired by the opportunities, mentorship, and growth DECA provided, he brought his experiences back to his chapter as Vice President of Training, where he worked to develop competitors, training methods, and foster leadership. As Ontario DECA president, Sanjit is committed to creating new opportunities, and enhancing the DECA experience for our competitors.

Beyond DECA, Sanjit is deeply involved in his community. As President of his local Interact Club, he leads service initiatives, organizes fundraisers, and works alongside community organizations to address local needs. He is also passionate about healthcare and explores this interest through HOSA, where he qualified as a finalist at the national level. In addition, Sanjit conducts research in brain aging and geroscience and is a published author on research examining how strengthening the brain’s antioxidant defenses may help slow age-related cognitive decline. Sanjit is also an accomplished debater, having earned recognition across provincial, national, and international circuits. He is currently serving his second term as President of his school’s debate team, where he mentors younger debaters and helps grow the program. His passion for business extends beyond DECA through his interest in investing and financial markets, where he has developed and implemented his own proprietary quant-trading algorithm.

In his free time, you can find Sanjit watching and playing basketball, experimenting with new recipes, or watching Suits for the seventh time.

Sanjit is thrilled to serve as President of Team 48 and cannot wait to meet Ontario DECA members from across the province, create unforgettable memories, and make this year one to remember.
