Lily Chen, Secretary

Lily Chen is honored to serve as Secretary for Ontario DECA this year! Lily is a grade 12 student from The Country Day School, who has been passionately competing in written events since grade 10. Last year, she successfully mentored her school’s DECA chapter while serving as Chapter Co-President. DECA has provided Lily with the opportunity to create initiatives that have made real impacts on people's lives, a mission she is eager to continue. This year, she aims to cultivate an organized and engaged environment for members across the province, providing the Provincial Executive team with a sturdy foundation for success.

Beyond DECA, Lily served as the president of her school’s Health Science and Social Justice Clubs. She has spearheaded fundraising efforts for local food banks, women’s shelters, refugee shelters, mental health organizations, and more. Passionate about medicine, Lily also volunteers at Southlake Hospital in the musculoskeletal department and researches neurobiology at the University of Notre Dame. This year, she will also serve on her school’s student council in the business profile. In her free time, Lily enjoys staying active by playing varsity badminton and golf for her school. She also loves to unwind by listening to all kinds of music, re-watching her favorite sitcoms, binge-watching F1 races late at night, and attending concerts with friends.

Lily is incredibly excited to be on the Provincial Executive team this year and can’t wait for all of the memories that lie ahead! She looks forward to meeting new people from all over Ontario.
