Not just a business competition. DECA is a community akin to a second family who will push you to accomplish more than you thought you ever could. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for Ontario’s top high school students to compete regionally, provincially, and internationally in a business case study competition. You’ll create business presentations about marketing, finance, and entrepreneurship.

A Step-by-Step Guide

Your registration is not finalized, even if payment is received. Your Chapter Advisor must approve your application. Each school has various levels of commitment, student expectations, chapter size limits, etc. Failing to meet these requirements will mean that your application will not be honoured by Ontario DECA.

No Cancellations, NO refunds and NO changes to membership after October 15.

Step 1:

Find a teacher advisor to lead your chapter and initiate the registration process. All chapters experienced and new must start here each year. TEACHER'S ONLY are to complete step 1.

Don't see your school on the list? Your must be registered with DECA INC to join Ontario DECA!

Step 2:

Students are to register and choose their top 3 events to compete in! Each school will determine HOW you get slotted but you have the opportunity to record your choices here!

Connect with your DECA Advisor at your school and pay your fee directly with them.

Don’t see your chapter on our list? Have your teacher advisor finish Step 1 first.

Step 3:

Appoint an executive team to plan and lead the Chapter throughout the year. They will be your contacts for staying informed and training for competitions.

Does your student executive need some help starting things this year? Arrange for a Virtual Chapter Meeting with one of our Provincial Officers by completing the request form.

Fees

Membership

Combined Student Membership/Regionals fee: $35 USD per person

Estimated breakdown in USD:
$8 DECA INC Membership Dues
$7 Ontario DECA Membership Dues
$20 Area Regionals Fee (online testing/online platforms, in-person and virtual competitions)

ALL survey questions must be completed and a valid email address be used

Provincials

Chapters are strictly prohibited from booking accommodation outside the DECA block; all hotel reservations must go through us.

DAY REGISTRANTS: $115 per person (HST included)

OVERNIGHT REGISTRANTS:
Overnight registrant fees vary based on hotel assignment. Options are:

C helsea Toronto or Toronto Sheraton

Entire chapter must stay at the same hotel; based on a first-come-first-served basis. Provincials portal opens December 3. Payment must be received in full by December 10, 2024.
