Ethan Geng is delighted to serve as one of Ontario DECA’s Chapter Engagement Officers this year. A Grade 12 student at Pickering High School, Ethan has been an active member in DECA since Grade 10 and has represented Ontario as a Top 10 Finalist at ICDC in written events for the past 2 years. He also served as the Co-President of his chapter and as a member of the Masters Council, where he prepared and executed Ontario-wide training workshops and conferencing sessions to help support competitors. DECA has been a defining part of Ethan’s high school journey and has given him the opportunity to form lasting relationships and memories. This year, he is committed to ensuring that every member and chapter feels supported and empowered to succeed.
Outside of DECA, Ethan is an active member of his community and frequently volunteers for local organizations. Within school, he has also been an executive of a social justice club, where he helped to organize charity drives and raise awareness on pressing social issues. He is also passionate about healthcare and engineering, which he pursues through his involvement in HOSA and robotics, where he has qualified for international and national competitions, respectively. In his free time, you can find Ethan playing badminton with friends, practicing his photography, and binge watching a new TV show!
Ethan is beyond excited to represent Team 47 this year and is looking forward to meeting, collaborating, and making memories with Ontario DECA members. If you have any questions or just want to chat, feel free to reach out to Ethan through his Instagram (@ethan.geng7) or email him at ethan@deca.ca.
